COME GROW WITH US by Pastor Phil
“Come Grow With Us” is New Day Church-On-The-Hill’s open invitation to people
in our community to walk together on a purposeful journey of faith. We certainly
don’t have all the answers. Sometimes, it’s difficult or impossible for us to articulate
the questions! But we press on knowing that God is with us. We’re not alone on the
journey. We’re confident that our Creator strengthens and sustains us for whatever
may happen.
I urge you to be bold in your efforts to grow our congregation. Invite
others in your family. Invite your friends and neighbors. Graciously invite complete
strangers to worship with us on Sunday morning to get a taste of our coffee and cupcakes as well as our
friendly fellowship. Use your imagination to introduce others to God’s love in Christ. God entrusts us
with the good news to share. That’s our mission.
I’m literally taking New Day’s invitation to the streets. During September and October, I’ll put on my
red shoes and visit homes in our area with a simple, sincere invitation to visit us for Sunday morning worship
- and lunch. That’s right. I’ll take anyone new to our church for lunch. Who said there was no such
thing as a free lunch?
What an exciting time to be the Church-On-The-Hill! Let’s work together to get the word out there.
Let’s tell the spiritually hungry that we have satisfying spiritual food.
